Fellowship

The PPSA Fellowship program is a means of rewarding those individuals who have given freely of their time and talents in service to their fellow members. Many members care about the success of others within the guild, and through fellowship, promote the success of fellow photographers. It also encourages those members who have volunteered their time in the past to continue to do so. We also host an annual Christmas party and other social events.

Image Competition

One of the best ways a photographer can grow as an artist is through image competition. By participating in our local quarterly image competition, it will help ease your nerves and feel things out. You will receive a constructive critique from an IPC or state-level juror, increasing your chances for success at the next level. Monthly Meetings

Our monthly meetings bring photographers, of all skill levels, together for an evening of photographic education, print competition, and networking. PPSA brings in amazing speakers from San Antonio, Texas and Across the country to share their knowledge and success with our membership. Programs include sales and marketing, lighting, seniors, sports, weddings, post production and much more

Scholarships

PPSA recognizes and acknowledges the benefits of continuing education. The best photography school in the nation is the Texas School of Professional Photography, held once a year. This school is an entire week of learning, laughing, and fellowship. PPSA is proud to award limited scholarships to qualifying members. All raffle ticket sales are placed into the PPSA Scholarship Fund and distributed at the annual awards banquet.

Affiliations

The PPSA is an affiliate member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), as well as the Texas Professional Photographers Association (TPPA). We support both parent organizations and encourage photographers of all levels to join these affiliates.
